Web Page Check List

So you are building an official Amaranth Web Page? Below is a simple checklist provided by the Supreme Web Page Committee that should help you get your page up and running quicker.

  1. You must have the official approval of your (Grand) Royal Matron to mount a web page for your (Grand) Court. Remember that as of the 1999 Supreme Session, it is a chargeable offense under the penal code to falsely represent a web page as an official Amaranth web page when it is not.
  2. Use of the official emblem of the Order on your page requires approval from the Board of Supreme Trustees. Click here to download the form to request approval for use of the Official Amaranth Logo. The completed form should be mailed to the Chairman of the Board of Supreme Trustees. The mailing address appears in the recent Supreme Directory. Use of the logo must be renewed annually.
  3. Review the official Supreme Council Web Page Guidelines? Does the design for your web page conform to these guidelines?
  4. If you planning to include anyone's telephone number or mailing address on the page, be sure you have their permission in writing. Please provide copies of the permission(s) when applying for approval of your page. Please use the officially approved form provided on this web page as either a printable pdf file or a downloadable Word template. These forms should be sent to the Chairman of the Supreme Web Page Committee as listed in the Supreme Directory.
  5. Acknowledge on the index page of the Web Page that your Court works under the authority of a charter issued by either your Grand Court or the Supreme Council and if appropriate that your Grand Court works under the authority of a charter issued by the Supreme Council Order of the Amaranth, Inc.
  6. Note on your index page that U.S. Copyright Laws govern use of the official logo.
  7. Submit the name of your official Webmaster to (a) the Supreme Secretary, (b) the Chairman and Secretary of the Board of Supreme Trustees and (c) the Chairman of the Supreme Web Page Committee.
  8. If you are going to obtain a domain name for your official Amaranth web page, be sure you have prior approval to expend (Grand) Court funds. The same is true for a pointing service and a mounting service. Since a pointing service will have to be renewed every year, the domain name will have to be renewed annually after the first two years and a mounting service renewed monthly (possibly quarterly or annually), be sure you provide a billing address to these services that will be appropriate not only now but in the future.
  9. Submit your completed web page to the Supreme Web Page Committee for final approval by sending it as a zip file to the Chairman of the Supreme Web Page Committee. The committee will endeavor to review and approve or reject all web pages within five days from receipt. The Committee will annually review your web page to see that it continues to conform to the Supreme Council Web Page Guidelines.
  10. Do not list your web page with any of the search services until final approval of the page is received from the Chairman of the Supreme Web Page Committee.
